Jennifer Adams, TaxationWeb's Capital Taxes Editor
Jennifer is an experienced freelance tax writer and lecturer who
qualified as a Chartered Secretary before moving into tax. Past
employment experience includes having been UK Group Tax Manager
of a large, (now defunct!) Canadian Insurance Company and as Senior
Tax Manager of a regional office of an international "Top 10" firm
of Chartered Accountants both in the UK and the Channel Islands.
On returning to England she felt that she could not cope with
working in a city again and left the "rat race" to pursue her interest
in tax lecturing and the writing of technical tax material, specialising
in the Capital Taxes. Jennifer's work has been published in "Taxation",
CCH Croner's "Taxes - the Weekly Tax", British Tax Briefing and
"Essential Tax Practitioner". She has also updated a number of sections
of the British Tax Guide (including the Capital Gains Tax sections),
the British Tax Reporter and ACCA Students Tax Manuals.
Jennifer's lecturing experience includes lecturing the Chartered
Insurance Institute, AAT, ACCA and ICSA Tax papers for London -
based Training Colleges and currently at Yeovil College and Pentagon
Training. She is also is tax adviser for RM2 Partnership, a leading
independent remuneration consultancy.
