Age at which children receive funds in trust

Postby leighc on Sun Aug 27, 2006 11:14 am

A friend has just told me that from April this year, children receive the funds from a trust at 18 regardless of when you wish them to inherit. Is this right? My partner and I have willed that should we both predecease our children, our assets remain in trust for them until they are 21. Does this still stand?
Thanks

The reduction to 18 was proposed, but was later withdrawn, so in your caes the age will still be 21.
