Am I Paying The Right NI Contributions ?

Am I Paying The Right NI Contributions ?

Postby cadfael on Mon Mar 08, 2010 9:57 am

My sole income is £875 a month via a shop unit rental, and for a number of years I have been paying 'Class 3 Voluntary Contributions'. Is this the correct NI 'bracket' for me?
Any advice much appreciated.

That sounds sensible, since your income does not attract NICs. Paying voluntarily helps to build up your entitlement to the state retirement pension. Don't spend it all at once! ;)
