Anyone here use Firefox?

Anyone here use Firefox?

Postby Kitty Kat on Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:31 am

Just moved to FF and everything is great, except this website :(

When I view each forum the text is really bunched up, is there some 'compatability viewer' for FF?

I am using Firefox, version 3.6.15, on Windows 7, 32 bit. No apparent problems at my end and no apparent difference even when compared to MS IE 8 included in Windows 7.

How odd, I am using the exact same version of FF and the same OS, but my right hand column on the forum view is hugely distorted, in that the cells are the correct width but all the text is squashed into a narrow space, making each cell much deeper than needed.

Oh well, I'll live.

You could ask in the FF support forum http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=38

If you can post a screenshot of the problem there, you should get answers.

We've done different tests on FF using various PC and Mac OS. All looks fine here. Not sure what the problem may be. :(

littlemissmosher: That sounds like an issue with the screen size, not the computer itself. We're looking into the problem.

Kitty Kat: Could it be that it's nothing to do with FF or Windows or IE, but with the text size configuration on FF? Try changing the text size to default by clicking Control + 0

One standard thing you might try is just to disable your add-ons (Tools | Add-Ons | Extensions, select each one in turn and click Disable). If that fixes the problem, add them back, one at a time, and visit the forum to see if the problem has returned.

Are you using the latest version of FF (3.6.15)?

Ha! I disabled an add-on currency convertor which was taking up zero room anywhere on the screen and it is now fine...
