Buy to Let

Postby Asvsix » Mon Jul 10, 2017 3:33 pm

Mr A has lived in his property for 12 years and is about to sell this to his limited company (for £250k) for buy to let. He will be buying another property as his private residence. I think he will not be liable to pay capital gains tax when he sells the property under the PPR rule, is this correct. Are there any other tax aspects that needs to consider?

Bear in mind that the company will pay SDLT on the purchase including the additional 3%.

If his limited company is trading, bear in mind the impact it may have on entrepreneurs relief and business property relief.
