Can Taxe Fonciere be deducted from revenues?

[UK tax resident + FR furnished property rental]

Can Taxe Fonciere (French property tax) be deducted from rental revenues on that property? (In this case, furnished, long term let).

Thanks,
b.

The French property tax can't be deduction from rental revenues but instead a tax credit would be available to offset the French property tax against the UK tax payable (capped of course at the UK tax rate). Have you been declaring your foreign income in the UK and have you obtained advice on whether or not you need to in the first place? thanks
