Ceasing self-employment, and Class 2 NIC

Ceasing self-employment, and Class 2 NIC

Postby Louise2011 on Sun Mar 06, 2011 2:03 pm

Once a person ceases being self-employed how do they go about stopping paying Class 2 NIC?

Is anyone aware of a specific address I should contact?

Should I contact them prior to ceasing self-employment to give advance notification? Or after ceasing?

Perhaps it doesn't matter...

Thanks

Write to NICO in Newcastle, NE98 1ZZ, BEFORE you cease and tell them when it will happen.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

Is that to avoid overpayment?
