Changing share allocation for husband/wife

Changing share allocation for husband/wife

Postby kooringa1@ukf.net on Wed Nov 02, 2011 12:13 am

My husband and I run a small limited company and have 1000 shares split equally between us. My husband has now taken on a full time job leaving me to run the company. Is it be possible to now switch the company shares into my name only?

hi

yes fill in form J30, with consideration nil. File it with the company records in your company statutory file in your study. remember to update your annual return at companies house for the change next time you get it.

Simple. If you want our free guide on running your small company email me at tom@ttca.co.uk

No tax to pay transfers between husbands and wives effectively dont count, you are married arent you?

Yes. Get a Stock Transfer Form here:http://www.capitaregistrars.co.uk/services.aspx

Fill it in (including the reverse) and keep it with the StatutoryBooks. Don't forget to update company records.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
