Class 4 National Insurance

I am self employed and was wondering when calculating my class 4 NIC do i deduct the £5715 from my taxable income? Do i still recieve my personal allowance of £6475 and is it deductable from my taxable income?

PA isn't applicable to NICs (i.e. taxable income is before PA).
