Corporation tax and two trades

Postby Dave_P on Fri Aug 19, 2005 11:24 pm

I have just read the following question:

http://www.taxationweb.co.uk/forum/discuss.php?id=7907

and I was wondering in what circumstances you need to do 2 different tax calculations for the same company?

My main business is as a management consultant through my ltd company but I also do some webdesign work all invoiced through the same company.

Do I have to do seperate CT calculations? Sepreate CT600's? Seperate accounts?

Could get very complicated. Your opinions are gratefully received.

I posted the original question to which 'maths' responded saying that the figures should simply be aggregated. It seems my original assumption was wrong and it is not necessary to produce separate CT computations in these circumstances (i.e different income streams within the same limited company). I have since confirmed this with the Inland Revenue myself.
