Day trading as a limted company

Postby jamesh99 » Wed Jan 27, 2016 2:47 pm

Hello

I wish to set up a company in order to operate as a financial markets (online) day trader. The company would not have any clients and I would pay myself via dividend.
Is there any obstacle to doing this as a means of reducing the personal taxation I would otherwise face as an individual performing the same function without incorporating?

Thanks.

Minimum wage?

Sometimes the difference in overall taxation aren't significant

Minimum wages does not apply to office holders. As long as you don't give yourself a contract of employment, you won't be affected by it.

As noted, the tax savings might not be significant when taking onto account the costs of running a company.
