Dormant Limited Company

Postby newstarter on Wed Feb 22, 2006 4:20 am

I'm planning to register a company as dormant, i.e no trading activity (it is a new company), am I still liable for any National Insurance constributions while the company is not trading. Do I need to contact the Tax Office and National Insurance office to inform them of this ?

Thanks for any responses received

A limited company isn't liable for NI contributions other than any due by virtue of having employees earning above the NI threshold.
