exempt gift

I am about to purchase the freehold of a property which can only be sold to my father as he is a long term leaseholder. I will be paying the total amount for the property which he will then be gifting/transferring to me. Will this second transaction be free of stamp duty?

The transfer will have CGT consequences - it will be valued at market value and then the transfer made at with Gifts Relief.

Stamp Duty - afraid so.
