Have undertaken to rewrite the expense policy for a small company (c40 people)- where can I access relatively cheap/free advice on the latest rules for allowable /disallowable (both corpn and VAT).

The best place to look is probably the Inland Revenue's manuals, which you can reach through their website. Findign your way round them may be more difficult.

Not quite so good but easier will be booklets published by the Revenue : again, go through the website.

Of course they give you their point of view !
