Fine by the council to the company

Fine by the council to the company

Postby fahim85 on Mon Nov 14, 2011 4:00 pm

Hi,

Could somebody please shed some light as to the eligibility of the deduction of expense in relation to the fine imposed by the council on the company for not meeting the contractual obligations.

Please note that the company and the council in question are parties to the business.

Many thanks

Regards,

Riaz

Tell us a bit more. What was the contract for; what was the "fine" for?

Presumably either this isn't a fine (and is a payment by agreement) or, if it is a fine, then it isn't for not meeting a contractual obligation.
