I have inherted my Fathers house, is stamp duty payable?

I intend to keep the house my father has left to me. I realise that IHT will be payable but what about stamp duty.. do I have to pay that too?

I think not (maybe a nominal fee) but check Inland Revenue web site or phone the stamp office
