My mother lives in Jersey, Channel Islands. Can anyone tell me if I (resident taxpayer in England) would have any Inheritance Tax liability on anything she might leave me in her will?

If mother is UK domiciled then on her death UK IHT is levied on her worldwide estate; normally you would not be liable to IHT on your particular inheritance unless her will so provides.
If she is non-UK domiciled her estate is liable to UK IHT only with respect to UK property.
Her residence status is in principle irrelevant for UK IHT purposes if she has been living in the CI for many years.

Many thanks for these two responses.
My mother is a Jersey resident, and has been since 1947; she has no property in UK, and her estate in entirely in Jersey.
I appreciate any inheritance from her estate to a Jersey resident is free of IHT.
But what about her heirs based in UK?
I think you are advising that I, as a UK taxpayer, would have no tax liability on anything she leaves to me. Is that correct?
