I´s be grateful to get some preliminary advice. I and My wife have UK citizenship acquired due to residence/employment 15 years ago. We both were born in Asia and none of our family has any ties in UK. We moved out of UK 11 years ago on assignments and have been non residents but have UK property and investments reaching twice the single rate band. We intend to return to our Asian country after employment. I am assuming we will be classified as non- domiciles in UK. I understand that our UK assets are subject to IHT and not world wide. Will my wife be able to get my Nil rate band after me?
thanks in advance
