ITALIAN TAX REFUND

ITALIAN TAX REFUND

Postby kayeamron on Sat Nov 12, 2011 2:37 pm

In April 2007 I left Italy where I had worked as an expat for 7 years to move to USA. In 2008 our tax was prepared by KPMG in Italy and I have documen tation showing that I have a refund due of approximately 7000 Euros. Also in 2008 I filed tax returns through KPMG in USA for 2007 income which included the income earned in Italy between Jan and April 2007.

As yet we have not received the tax refund from Italy, and have tried various methods including our MEP and KPMG who have contacted the local Agenzia where we lived and we have again received documentation showing the amount of tax to be refunded including interest. The last note we had was that this would be repaid by October 2011, but yet again we have received nothing.

Can anyone advise how to go about getting this refund. We are now back living in the United Kingdom and have retired, so this money would be very useful to us, if we can ever get hold of it. We have lived in France, Italy, USA and UK and have never had a problem with claiming tax refunds due to us on leaving on a permanet basis any of the countries only Italy !

HELP !

LoL....

Think of any tax owed to you by the Italian tax authorities as if it were some sort of pension that you've paid into, whereby you have to wait 40 years before you see any cash.
Do you adore to transfer your artistic and inventive qualities to renovate a part type? Perhaps your friends who tour your sanctuary head remarks about want they could levy you to change their premises.
