Maternity pay

Postby Llittle17 » Tue Feb 21, 2017 10:45 pm

I'm currently on maternity leave and am receiving statutory maternity pay, due to go back to work in June. I would like to do one single day's work (in May) for a different employer where I would be taxed and would pay NI, does anyone know if this would affect my statutory maternity pay? I have contacted HMRC and been directed through to several different advisors, all have been unable to correctly advise, one suggested it probably would be fine but couldn't be certain. I'd appreciate any help you can give. Thanks.
