Mileage allowance claim

Postby Jacob22 » Thu Jan 19, 2017 4:50 am

Hi I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if I can claim for mileage allowance this year on my van as I claimed for the full value of my van last year but didn't claim any mileage that year

Many thanks Jacob

Revenue costs(mileage claims) are in addition to capital allowances, so yes.
With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA

No. Cannot claim mileage rate if capital allowances have been claimed.

To clarify the previous reply.

Yes you can claim for motor expenses incurred, but not using the approved mileage rates.
