Mileage

Postby rosneft » Wed Nov 16, 2016 9:31 pm

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, so I do apologise if it is not.

I'm attending an interview and the potential employer is offering mileage expenses at £0.25 per mile. Can I apply for tax relief on the difference. I travel less than 10,000 miles for work?

Thanks

As you aren't employed by them, it won't be business mileage.

Are you asking if you will be able to claim tax relief once (hopefully) you get the job, then the answer is yes.
