New Trustee?

I have a discretionary trust with a sole trustee. The trustee has been convicted of a serious crime. Is the trustee automatically barred from continuing as a trustee?

No there is no automatic bar to acting (unless the terms of the trust so provide which would be untypical).

Tho murdering the sole beneficiary would create 'issues'.
