non-resident director / ltd

Postby johnjack on Fri Mar 05, 2010 6:11 am

Hi,

I am a non-resident (EU) offering services through the internet.

I want to open a private ltd in UK.
Do I need nominee director and nominee shareholder so that company is considered as a UK tax resident?

Do I need to be vat registered if I want to invoice EU customers?

thanks

A company incorporated in the UK is UK resident.

Such a company may however be deemed to be non-UK resident under the terms of some of the UK's double tax agreements.

Whether you need a UK registered and/or UK resident company may be open to question.
