P11d benefits and NI

P11d benefits and NI

Postby tommy121 on Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:50 am

Hi

I'm looking to put some life assurance in place for a client with a monthly premium of c£200.

The client earns in excess of £150k and hence will pay tax at the highest rate in 2010/11.

It has been agreed that the premium will be paid by his employer.

Would this be a P11d benefit? If so would this be subject to employers/ employee NI?

Many Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

The link to a previous posting copied below may help.

For group life insurance (and other products) Canada Life produce helpful technical guides which cover taxation-see link below.

We hope this helps.
