widows pension lump sum

Postby tax-bill » Mon Jul 25, 2016 4:29 pm

A friend of mine - recently widowed received a lump sum plus pension from her late husbands employer.
Should the lump sum be declared on her Self Assessment tax return and if so where does the information go.
Hope someone can help.
