Guernsey Tax offset

Postby Guernsey892009 » Thu Dec 01, 2016 6:00 pm

Hi Guys.

I have a ltd company in UK (architects)

Interested in setting up a Guernsey company to licence branding to the UK company. The Guernsey company will invoice the UK company thus reducing massively the tax liability of the UK company.

I then want to use the Guernsey company to buy a property in the uk.

Will the above land me in trouble?! haha

Unless you are a UK company of significant size using offshore companies (located in perceived "tax havens'/"offshore financial centres") is fraught with tax avoidance provisions. This is particularly so where the activities of the offshore company involve, for example, licensing of intellectual property rights.

Tread carefully!!
