Claiming Expenses

Postby SimonMD » Tue Mar 14, 2017 10:36 am

Hi. I was wondering if someone could help. I've been self employed (sole trader) for a couple of years now. My wife recently bought me a laptop for my business. The receipt / invoice was in her name but it was for me to use for my business.
My question is, would I be able to off set it against my tax as it was bought for my business?
I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid question but I'm quite new to all this.
