Hi all

I'm now getting the following error code:

8382 CGT 3-13 must not be empty

I've filled in the adjustment to Capital Gains Tax box (0.00) and it still hasn't resolved it

Any others had the above error come up?

I'm getting an error 8395 There is an entry in [CGT14]. Please complete at least one of [CGT17] and [CGT19].

Looks like the CGT section of HMRC's online web submission is a bit broken.

I get the same error "8382 [CGT3-13] must not be empty. ". Looking at the generated full colour version of the form the "CGT additional Information" section is blank - which is wrong: the information I have put in the data entry box has not been copied over. I tried putting just the one word "Test" in the online data box - this was not copied over either. So it does seem to be a problem with the HMRC back-end software. I have a case running with the technical team, and I have sent this information on to add to the case - I hope they look at it!

Hmmmm - if their website fault delays a tax refund, do they pay a £100 penalty?

Regards,

Springnuts.

Sirnitz, you are nothing less than a GENIUS! After having emailed Inland Revenue help desk and numerous telephone calls I was given a case number and told that they would get back in touch as soon as they had a solution. Two months without reply so went through the whole process again just to be given another case number! Found your solution after searching the Web, so thought I would give it a try. Worked for me too! Can't help thinking you could have somehow made a lot of money out of your discovery! Genius does not come close. Thankyou Thankyou THANKYOU!
