Input VAT on french return?

Postby Jambo55 » Mon Jul 24, 2017 9:02 am

Hi All,

I'm pulling together my information to file a french VAT return, sales are obviously fairly straight forward, BUT, I purchase my stock from one UK supplier and dont know how / where to claim the input VAT - do I continue to claim all of the input VAT on my UK VAT return, or do I have to try and proportion the VAT between the French sales & UK sales??

Any help much appreciated, thanks!

You cannot claim UK VAT on a French VAT Return, and vice versa.
The UK supplier should not charge a French business VAT; Acquisition Tax rules apply.
