selling a house to move abroad

We are selling our house and moving abroad, can you tell me if I have to pay income tax on the sale of my house? as there will be a gap in-between selling here and finding a property to buy in Corfu.

I assume that you will be selling the house before you move abroad. I also assume that the house has been your only or main residence throughout your ownership of the property.

If so, there is no tax on the sale of the property.

It is irrelevant as to if and when you buy the next property and whether it is in the UK or abroad.
