Share transfer to grandson -Nominee Account?

Share transfer to grandson -Nominee Account?

Postby bozzle on Thu Feb 25, 2010 11:28 am

Hi,
I have some shares in a TDW nominee account I would like to transfer to a trust account for my grandson but nominee accounts seem to insist that names have to be the same to allow a transfer.

Any ideas how I can get round this. I do not wish to sell and repurchase as the company concerned is very small and trading is difficult.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am bit surprised with the response you received. It is a co-inciden that I spoke to them two days ago, transferring shares from wife's account to her brother account. As she has not got many shares and to save admin fee. The customer adviser told me to ask my wife to ring them with my brother-in-law account and they would do it. (My wife and his brother have account with TDW)
