Should a UK company charge VAT to an individual in Spain

I own an apartment in Chester UK and although British I am non resident in the UK, resident in Spain. I rent the apartment out as a sole trader in Spain. A company in the UK have a web site that we advertise the apartment on and when they take bookings they invoice us for the commision. Should they add on VAT or not?
Also if we advertise with a UK company can they add vat to the invoice for the advert?

Sounds to me like you are fully exempt as you are renting a domestic apartment for which you cannot reclaim any VAT on expenses.

Are you sole trader, if so then your place of belonging (I would assume) is in your country of residence. Although they relate to the property in the UK, not sure if that would mean the place of supply is in UK as it is closely enough related to the business (i.e. the apartment).

Best to check with HMRC, get a ruling.
Do you adore to transfer your artistic and inventive qualities to renovate a part type? Perhaps your friends who tour your sanctuary head remarks about want they could levy you to change their premises.
