Stamp duty on transfer of flat to spouse

I am considering transferring the title deeds to my flat to my wife's name for nil consideration. Will stamp duty be payable on this transaction?

Depends on the value transferred- if it is above the stamp duty threshold then probably- the solicitor dealing with the transaction will be able to advise as he will have to complete the SDLT form.
