My ex-partner and I bought our property together as joint tenants and shared the cost of the stamp duty. There was no mortgage. Now that we have split up I am buying her half share which has been valued at £140,000
As we are both on the deeds as joint tenants and we have both paid stamp duty previously, will I have to pay stamp duty again on the cost of the half share I am buying?
