I did not suggest that insurance company will pay out.

But you miss my point:

1) A bookkeeper probably cannot obtain PII for giving advice such as this
2) Even if BK has PII [for his bookkeeping], it wouldn't be very happy to pay out on the back of this set of circumstances [ that of giving advise he's not qualified to, and probably isn't insured to give anyway].

Perfect example.

It seems to be bookkeeper's insurance. Not tax adviser's insurance. Which seems perfect for the individual concerned.

The concerned peron claims that he has professional indemnity insurance of £250,000 and

Even though it did not stop him for pitching for the business for contractor, limited company and not to mentioned possible IR35. :x
