tax on gift to spouse

can somebody pl let me know how much you can give cash to spouse without paying any tax?

Essentially as much as you have. Gifts between spouses have no taxation consequences.

Always assuming that you are not separated from your wife. Transfers in the tax year following a separation could be taxable.
