Tax Voucher for Ordinary Shares

Tax Voucher for Ordinary Shares

Postby purpleski on Tue Jan 31, 2012 8:22 pm

Hi

I receive many dividends each year for those shares I hold outside my ISAs. Some companies (M&S) are now issuing Dividend Tax Vouchers electronically as downloadable PDF from their shareholders web site.

Is it acceptable to the tax man to simply keep a PDF scan of my paper Dividend tax vouchers and then throw the originals away?

Thanks.

HMRC, still in Victorian age I'm afraid. Must keep paper vouchers.

With a pinch of salt take what I say, but don't exceed your RDA
