I have been trading from my freehold shop and basement for many years.
If I decide to let the premises to other business and receive the rent,am I right to understand
a)I have upto 3 years to sell the freehold to claim 10%CGT
b)Understanding 7 years rule,I can hand over the freehold to my family and not pay CGT and avoid IHT.
c)Or the business asset becomes investment asset as soon as I stop trading.
