VAT and subcontractor

Hi there
Can someone help me - how is income under the CIS scheme treated for VAT purposes? I've got myself into a bit of a knot! With thanks

The CIS scheme does not affect the VAT treatment of any income. VAT should be calculated and charged irrespective of CIS.
