vat on a development

i bought a premises with planning pemission to convert two houses in to ten flats one of the houses was being used as a pritners the other was being used as an office for the printers all though it was a residential house they were adjoining propertys 6 of the flats were converted from the the two old houses 4 i built as new build flat by puting an extensoin at the back of the houese.

i would like to know if i can claim any of the the vat back on the cost of construction

Generally yes, subject to the normal rules (i.e. you are not partially exempt etc).

Ultimately depends on what you will be supplying. I.e. houses are going to be sold, rented, leased etc.
Do you adore to transfer your artistic and inventive qualities to renovate a part type? Perhaps your friends who tour your sanctuary head remarks about want they could levy you to change their premises.

does this mean i can claim and how will i go about claiming
