Vat when taking a pub lease

Vat when taking a pub lease

Postby cathal on Tue Jan 17, 2012 1:36 am

Hello,
I am curently looking at taking on a pub lease, and am unsure of the VAT situation. If the pub has been closed for a couple of weeks before I open it, can I then wait till I reach the £73,00 mark before registering for VAT, or will the previous Landlords income there prevent me from doing this? What needs to be done to class it as a new business in a pub? If I set up a private company to run the pub would I then be able to wait till I reach the limit and then register?

Any advice wouls be much appreciated

thanks,

Cathal

It depends on whether it will be treated as a transfer of a going concern or not.
Do you adore to transfer your artistic and inventive qualities to renovate a part type? Perhaps your friends who tour your sanctuary head remarks about want they could levy you to change their premises.
