vehicle CO2 emissions information

hello -

I am trying to ascertain a vehicle's CO2 emissions - the only info i have is its number plate and the make/model - im sure i used to be able to find this out from the directgov site, but ive just gone there today and its changed and now it wants to know the month/year of registration which i dont know - yes i know the client would have this information, but i want to know this week not next year :lol:

- does anyone know of a free site where i can find out vehicle information with only limited details? any links would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

If you have the reg then you can surely guesstimate the month/year? (Unless personalised plates?)

i.e. fr53 tty would be sometime between september 2003 and end of Feb 2004 - (or something like that).

If you give me the 2nd two number in the plates I'm sure I can guesstimate for you, and you can check the range to see if there is any difference (doubt there would be).
