French tax for UK residents

Hi,

Myself and my wife are buying a property in France where she will be spending most of her time managing renovations, whereas I am remaining renting in the UK working for a UK based firm and coming over at weekends. Are there any French tax obligations in doing this that anyone can foresee?

Many thanks
Matt

You can access PWC's French tax guide for expatriates via the "useful links" section of the website below. Whilst not a substitute for actual advice, it may give you some useful pointers regarding the French tax system.

Thanks. Do you or anyone else have a contact for a professional advisor? Not afraid to pay for good advice :)!

If you have a healthy tax advice budget you could google GlobalTaxNetwork. Not cheap (most of them have a large tax practice background), but they specialise in this area which is not always the case when you approach cheaper local country tax advisers.
