Waiver of Dividends

Postby j2 on Tue Jan 24, 2006 11:52 am

We are a family owned close company. One of the shareholders has indicated that they do not wish to participate in future dividend distributions. I have learnt from this website that the right to receive a dividend can be waived if advised before the dividend is declared. Can anyone please advise me whether a single waiver in respect of all future dividends "until further notice" is acceptable, or must a seperate document be submitted each time? The former would save an awful lot of time and trouble in this case!

A single notice to waive should be acceptable.
