What do you do if you misplace/lose the Grant of Probate?

My Father inherited his deceased brothers house. His brother didn't leave a will and all family members agreed that it should go to my Father, so my father became the Personal Representative and eventually got rights to the property, but we cant seem to find be able to locate the Grant of Probate. I'm going to ask the Solicitors who dealt with the case but what happens if they have no copy?

We do have a copy of IHT205 Return of Estate information form, thou.

You can obtain a copy of the grant and will from any probate registry for £6
