| VAT reduced rate regulations laid |

Regulations reducing the standard rate of VAT to 15 per cent from 1 December 2008 have been published. The Value Added Tax (Change of Rate) Order 2008 (SI 2008/3020) reduces the VAT rate from 17.5 per cent to 15 per cent. The change is to operate from 1 December 2008 to 30 November 2009.
