A quick guide to recent additions to the HM Revenue & Customs website.
Week ending 18 May What’s new? - New tax repayment form (R40) now available;
- Guidance on what may constitute an open-ended company in the context of the changes made to the offshore funds regime by Finance Bill 2007, cl. 56 (BN 29);
- Collection of student loans: annual statements - update for those who have not received a statement from Student Loans Company showing repayments for 2004/05 and 2005/06;
- Amended version of List 3 (Fees and subscriptions paid to Professional Bodies and Learned Societies);
- Draft regulations relating to Real Estate Investment Trusts;
- Amended form R185 for trust income available;
- Qualifying Recognised Overseas Pension Schemes (QROPS) list updated;
- Note informing tax practitioners that HMRC are currently looking at ways to improve the online services given to agents;
- Revised VAT Information Sheet (08/07): Reverse charge for purchases and sales of mobile phones and computer chips, which replaces Information Sheet 06/07; and
- Notice CCL1 (Update 1) - A general guide to Climate Change Levy.
