A quick guide to recent additions to the HM Revenue & Customs website.

Week ending 3 August

What’s new?

  • Updated version of leaflets WTC5: Help with the costs of childcare - Information for parents and childcare providers, and WCT6: Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit - Other types of help you may be able to get;
  • Updated tax credits ready reckoner table;
  • PEP & ISA Bulletin 40;
  • Claiming Gift Aid when goods are sold by, and the proceeds gifted to, charities - guidance for charities considering selling goods on behalf of donors in the hope of proceeds being donated under Gift Aid has been updated and expanded;
  • Draft versions of the 2007/08 Tax Return in PDF format;
  • List of registered Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCS) updated to 2 August 2007;
  • The Double Taxation Relief (Taxes on Income) (Macedonia) Order 2007 (SI 2007/2127);
  • The Income Tax (Pay As You Earn) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations 2007 (SI 2007/2296);
  • Consultation Document seeking views on the possible options following the expiry of the derogations permitting the application of reduced rates on fuel used by private pleasure flying;
  • Consultation document concerning the reduction of administrative burdens on business - voluntary disclosure of errors on indirect tax returns;
  • Notification that the Business Income Manual has been updated to reflect the change of law following the House of Lords judgement on Mars and Grant;
  • Revenue & Customs Brief 53/07, which seeks views of both data providers and users on various Intrastat Simplification options that are being considered;
  • Stamp Taxes Online - Notification that from 4th August 2007 HMRC will stop issuing the paper SDLT5 certificate for all online submissions;
  • Updated Child Benefit service standards page; and
  • Updated guidance for Local Authorities and Health and Social Services Trusts.
