A quick guide to recent additions to the HM Revenue & Customs website : Week ending 5 January
What’s new
- Tax Credits: residence rules: amended guidance to take account of Bulgaria and Romania joining the EU on 1 January 2007;
- Tax Credits – updated notes for completion of forms TC600, TC603R and TC603RD are now available;
- the following VAT Notices and Information Sheets have been updated to take account of new countries joining the EU: Notice 703/2, Notice 703/1, Notice 702/8; Notice 703 (Updates 1 and 2), Notice 704, Notice 705 and Notice 705A, Information Sheets 01/07 and 02/07;
- the following non-resident landlord scheme forms have been updated: NRL1, NRL2, NRL3, NRL4, NRL5, NRL6 and accompanying notes;
- Modernising Powers, Deterrents and Safeguards: Penalties for Incorrect Returns: A Consultation Document;
- updated version of the introduction of the Corporate Venturing Scheme;
- VAT Information Sheet 01/07, which provides currency exchange rates required by non-EU businesses registered for the special scheme in the UK, for reporting period ending December 2006;
- VAT Information Sheet 03/07, which advises a change in the VAT rate for Germany from 1 January 2007;
- Consultation document: Biofuels - simplification of regulations.
- HMRC Brief 02/07, which contains an article concerning proposed reductions in the burdens of the biofuels regime for non-commercial producers;
- Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCS) – list updated to 31 December 2006; and
- Research on trusts: experience of setting up and running trusts.
